it didn’t happen this way

I realize that ‘The Force Awakens’ talked about how Luke was out finding some Jedi temple, implying that the search had led him to his island of solitude, but I kept thinking last night about how it could have happened differently.

Because in the AU where Luke’s exceedingly frustrated real estate agent is trying to find his retirement planet, their conversations would have been hilarious.

REA: “I’ve compiled a list of wonderful places for you!”

Luke: “No sand.”

REA: “Okay, well, that’s one down, but these –”

Luke: “No snow.”

REA: “Two more off the list, which is fine, this is –”

Luke: “No swamps. No forests. No trees.”

REA: “Ooookay. There are some lovely floating –”

Luke: “No cities.”

REA: “Well, what about –”

Luke: “No people.”

REA: “Fine. Look, I’ve gone one rocky island on a deserted ocean planet in the middle of nowhere. It’s got eight million steps and no wifi.”

Luke: “It’s perfect!”
