Doctor Who: still netflix-ing through series 5

My thoughts on disc 4:

I sort of thought this two-parter (Hungry Earth and Cold Blood, the ones with the Silurians and the giant drill and ::cough:: Rory) could have been a one-parter. Still, nice to see the Doctor (sometimes) has so much faith in humans.

Of course, Vincent and the Doctor wasn’t exactly a masterpiece of excitement either, but all the hugging made up for it. Lots and lots of hugging, and the Doctor being handsy.

I thought all three of these eps were thought-provoking and philosophically interesting — liked the characters, loved the visuals, thought the messages were good. Just not fast movers in terms of action plot anything.

Overall: I liked them, but if I didn’t know the Rory thing was going to get fixed, I’d be seriously upset.
