“i’m okay if it exists”
Feb. 2nd, 2016 07:40 amEmails fly back and forth at work at a speed that alternates between ‘just under lightspeed’ and ‘my turtle is taking a nap.’ Yesterday I got caught up in a chain trying to get different bits of information from a variety of people all at once.
And in the midst of out-of-office replies and requests for documentation, there was this gem:
“i’m okay if it exists”
So vague. So non-committal. This reply shouts ‘I didn’t read the email chain and I can’t be bothered to do any research, but if me rubber stamping this request gets you to stop cluttering up my inbox, then so be it.’ In short: I LOVE IT!
“i’m okay if it exists” — a truism for the modern office age!
