well, this is embarassing

Even I have now heard about delicious being sold to youtube, or whatever. But I had to wonder — why didn’t I get a notification? I have a delicious account. Why was I hearing about this via dreamwidth?

So I figured hey, I’ll go check my delicious account and see what’s what. That’s where I ran into trouble.

I’ve been logged out (presumably by delicious itself, as some fiendish plot to make its users feel ridiculous). I don’t think I’ve ever been logged out on purpose, because why would I want to do that?

And of course, I can’t remember my login info. I have a vague recollection of it being something other than my standard, but that’s about as helpful as you’d think.

On the plus side, this does make the decision about keeping my delicious account a *lot* easier.

I had a lot of trouble getting into mine, too! I don't understand yahoo, even though I use it every day for e-mail, and delicious kept telling me to go to yahoo if I'd forgotten my password. I did, and I was prompted to reset my yahoo password, which I did, and then I still couldn't get into delicious! I was like, wait, what was the point of changing a password for a different service?! Finally delicious let me in as a yahoo user instead of as my delicious user name, and *then* I couldn't access my bookmarks until I told them to stop asking me about exporting them! Hello, I don't want them exported! I'm only logging in to see if I can delete them! ♥
