Who was Jack? Why didn’t he evacuate the building long before getting a phone call to do so? Why didn’t he *ever* evacuate the building himself?

If Bruce had the resources to get himself into Metropolis in the middle of an alien battle, did he have a responsibility to use those resources to assist? See also: what kind of ego makes someone think that every employee who works for their ginormous company is their ‘family’?

Lex knew who everyone was, right? And Clark knew Batman was Bruce Wayne. But apparently Bruce — hyper-vigilant, civil-liberties-trampling, spy on everyone Bruce — had *no idea* that Superman had an alter ego? Come on, buddy!

The fight between Batman and Superman swung wildly between Batman being completely ineffective and being a huge bully. When Superman was powered up, all those bullets were just creating a big mess — thanks a lot, Bruce. And when he was unpowered, he was just a dude wearing spandex who’d probably never experienced what being punched in the face actually felt like. It was hard to watch either way.

How did Lex figure out Clark? Did I miss that bit?

I don't think they showed any of it on screen -- my impression was that Lex knew before the movie started. If he had the resources to piece together Wonder Woman's identity, Superman and Batman probably wouldn't have been much of a challenge.
