movie review: Independence Day 2

I liked it! I was impressed by how much the movie integrated characters from the first one and yet also introduced new people — there were a *lot* of people in the movie.

It passed the Bechdel test! (Barely.) Which is still better than not passing.

Patricia! A cute dog! A surprisingly engaging pirate crew who all survive! All of these were great for me.

Extra bonus: it was like a ‘White House Down’ reunion! The girl who was driving the car was the same actress who played Emily Cale, and the government lackey was the tour guide!

The One Big Question: Where was Connie?
