2016 is the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service in the US, which is pretty cool. (Love the article title that calls the national parks “America’s best idea.”)

As a heads up, on August 25th through 28th there will be no entrance fees for any of the national parks!

And closer to home, today is also a fee-free day at New Hampshire state parks! (It’s unclear whether you actually have to *say* “happy birthday” to get your entrance fee waived, but it certainly won’t hurt!)
