Very pleased to announce that I *did* name one of the characters that I thought I hadn’t named — it was in a completely different section than I thought, and it turned out not to matter at all, but I did find it.

I mean, maybe it will still matter before the end of the novel? Weirder things have happened.

Big novel news: after more than 7300 words, the barbecue is over. Not to worry, though, now it’s time for breakfast the next day!

Current word count: 44,501

Last sentence written: “It was quite the group, though.”

(I have absolutely reached the point in nanowrimo where every sentence includes at least one extra and completely unnecessary word.)
