I’m blaming the eclipse.
Jun. 13th, 2011 10:55 pmThere is a seriously weird vibe in the air right now and I’m perfectly content to blame the coming eclipse (Wednesday, so I guess we’ll see if anything changes after that). Monday notes of notability:
1. To psych myself up for doing *all the things* on Mondays at work, I let my inner voice do a lot of swearing. It’s like an hours-long internal monologue of profanity-laced pep talk. Which is somehow strangely effective, but hard to switch off once I’m *done* doing all the things and need to go back to, say, waiting on customers. Little bit of cognitive dissonance sometimes.
2. In an effort to melt my brain by watching television, I netflix-instant-viewed the first X-Men movie tonight. It was good. Better in the context of X-Men First Class, I thought, even though I think the franchise was rebooting rather than prequel-ing. (“You actually wear these in public?” “What would you prefer, yellow spandex?”)
3. It’s really not good when your boss’ crazy theory about how the government is testing infectious disease weapons on the general population starts to sound less paranoid and more reasonable. How is this my life?
