1. My boss finally noticed that I’ve been working four day weeks this month (on a day when I wasn’t there, and two people failed to show up when they were scheduled). I’d like to emphasize — I was *supposed* to have the day off; the other two just weren’t paying attention. Either he’s planning a subtle campaign of irritation, or has decided to let it pass, because so far I haven’t heard anything directly from him about it.
2. I love it when we have interns, but I hate feeling like I have to entertain and/or engage them all the time. They’re supposed to be there to learn, right? Well, learn how to look busy; I promise it will come in handy at every job you ever have. Today I just wanted to say, “It’s a slow day, okay? Entertain yourself for the next five hours and then drive home, how hard can it be?”
3. Is it too soon to start counting the days till the weekend?
