*I found the canoe launch! Not that I was ever really looking for it, but I was still excited.

*To the person who said good morning as I was headed out — it sounded like the next thing you said was, “You’ll need your galoshes on the ice.” In retrospect, that makes no sense, so it was probably something else. I hope “thank you” was an adequate response to whatever it was.

*To the group with all the dogs: good luck. I hope that went well.

*I’m pretty sure February is the month I missed last year, for my goal of getting out in the woods every month. There you go, past self — got you covered!

*Looking back at pictures: ‘This white expanse is the marsh. This white expanse is a parking lot, I think. This white expanse is the trail. This white expanse is probably a frozen waterway of some sort, but I’m not entirely sure.’
