Good news: one of my three meetings for today was cancelled!

Bad news: it was the easiest one!

[I’m in a one of those jobs that is well-defined on paper but is operationally somewhat more vague, which means I am sometimes called into (or left out of) meetings seemingly at random. Which is easier now that I have cemented my reputation as ‘the one who always brings a snack to meetings’ and now people just expect me to be munching at some point.*]

[*Which, I’d like to note, wouldn’t even be necessary if I could trust that people would end their meetings at the scheduled time! Seriously, if you say it’s a half hour meeting, and then it drags on for 90 minutes, yeah, I’m gonna need a snack, pal. And maybe an intermission.]
