Happy July!

Since we’re halfway through the year, I thought it would be fun to check in on the things I said I wanted to do this year back in January. You know, while there’s still time.

*unsubscribe from email mailing lists that I don’t actually want
(This has largely been a success! There are a few mailing lists I actually may re-up for, since I feel like I keep missing all the good REI sales. But overall, very nice to have the inbox have less to delete each day!)

*look for some joy each day
(It turns out I actually made this one a goal twice, and the second time I said “find some joy each day,” which seems more challenging. But always something to strive for. Lots of days I do the thing where I wake up and think, ‘what’s one thing I’m looking forward to today?’ Lots of days it’s food-related.)

*try snowshoeing
(Did it! Liked it! It’s so much noisier than I imagined it would be. But I just visited a new walking trail yesterday that I think would be awesome for snowshoeing, so it’s definitely still on my mind.)

*to actually do spring cleaning this year, regardless of what season it happens in
(I’m pretty sure when I wrote this, I actually meant ‘I should wash the windows this year because I didn’t last year.’ I still have not done that, but many other cleaning and organizing projects have gotten accomplished. And hey, there’s still six months to go. It could happen.)

*vote in the midterm elections
(Oh, I’ll be there.)

*post some things to instagram
(Well. Technically, yes? I’ve posted 8 times, but nothing since March 11. Probably I should come up with some sort of a plan. Plenty of time left!)
