time to vote

Things I do on voting days:
*Visit the local elementary school. Wonder why there are so many stairs in the entrance, and where the wheelchair-accessible entrance is located.
*Try to avoid eye contact with any and all bake sale and booster club table attendants.
*Despite being in a very small town, somehow wind up waiting in line for ten minutes, because apparently the entire town is skewed towards people with last names in the same letter group.
*Exchange idle chit-chat with people in line about how our line is always so much longer than the others, and maybe they should address that for future voting.
*Experience confusion over the fact that there are So Many Voting Booths. Try not to stress over picking one.
*VOTE! Wonder where they store the voting booths all the days of the year when we are not voting.
*Cross my fingers for stickers. If stickers are present, celebrate.
