On the off chance that anyone from my workplace is reading, I’ll go no further.

Rather, let me share a story. I met our new intern today. I wanted to give a first-day pep talk, but wasn’t feeling too peppy. So I said this:

“If you bring the motivation, we’ll bring everything else. But we already spend plenty of time wrangling the employees we *do* pay; we don’t have time to motivate you too.”

Yeah. I think I can cross ‘speechwriter’ off my list of potential careers.
