Me: If I did just ONE thing on my list each hour between now and 4 pm, that would be NINE things! That’s totally manageable! I’ve so got this!

Also Me: But consider this… I could NOT do one thing on my list each hour, but instead huddle under a pile of blankets, only emerging to fetch snacks and feed the cat, until 3 pm, then race around and do a few things. I could probably fit, like, five things into an hour, right? That’s more than halfway to nine! And I could do the rest tomorrow!

[To clarify: there are actually more than nine things on my list. Somehow that does not always seem to factor into the mental gymnastics of a caturday morning.]
