And by Goose I mean the cat, of course. Here’s a fun thing about comics — no matter how much the MCU tries to pretend otherwise, most comics-based stuff has decades of bizarre, often-contradictory “history.” Which makes reading up on it super fun.

Because there’s the ‘official’ articles about the new movie, and those are cool, but then there’s these, arguably So Much Cooler: (from the Marvel Database)

FLERKEN FACT #1: re: the original Goose, aka Chewie: “It proved to be a Flerken when it laid eggs.”

[You know what that means: BABY FLERKENS!]

FLERKEN FACT #2: “The species are said to be able to store entire universes within their mouths, with which they can access and store a great many of things within to draw upon at will.”

[Well, that sounds handy!]

FLERKEN FACT #3: “Flerken all possess a mess of tendrils kept within their mouths. […] also host a nest of fanged and ravenous maws which can bite down on and gobble up just about anything.”

[WOW. I suggest a new strategy re: Thanos. Can Goose just use its nest of fanged and ravenous maws to bite down on and gobble up the infinity gauntlet? PROBLEM SOLVED.]
