There’s a new person at work! Only moderately related to my job in any work sense, but physically they have a desk that is close enough they could probably overhear my conversations, so that counts as joining the work neighborhood.

Yesterday they showed up in ‘it’s my first week’ clothes — as in, they actually looked professional. Meanwhile, there’s me in my jeans and t-shirt, like ‘yeah, they don’t pay me to dress up.’

[I’m just saying, it’s an uncertain world. Shoes I can run in and pants with pockets are important to me.]
