hitting 35,000
Nov. 21st, 2010 09:42 pmThings I never expected would become topics of discussion in my nanonovel:
1. glitter crafts
2. the Mesozoic Era
3. scurvy
(Inquiring minds want to know: Will eating bananas prevent scurvy?)
(Answer: Hard to say; a banana contains about 8-9 mg of vitamin C, so you might have to eat a lot of them. Also, did you know that:
“Bananas are naturally slightly radioactive, more so than most other fruits, because of their high potassium content, and the small amounts of the isotope potassium-40 found in naturally occurring potassium. Banana shipments often set off the radiation monitors installed at US ports to detect illegal shipments of radiologic materials.”
Wow! Thanks, wikipedia, supplier of knowledge I wasn’t looking for, but still find cool!)
