"western style" update
Jun. 28th, 2019 06:10 amHere are my non-scientific thoughts of the Western Style remodel in Neko Atsume -- this is the first remodel where I've had weird brain dissonance about putting the toys on the ground. It's DIRT.
I do conceptually understand that 1) neither the dirt nor the toys are physically real; and 2) there's not a big difference between dirt and grass, but APPARENTLY that is not enough. I keep opening it up and thinking 'oh, I don't want to put the snowy pillow out, it'll get all dusty.'
(Also the layout is a little awkward, but I think that's easily adjusted-to; just a question of which things you put where and what you combine together to avoid blocking one goodie with another. )
The BEST part about the Western Style is that my brain has a vast library of "old west" media stored away -- didn't even the Power Rangers have an old west AU episode once? I enjoy imagining the characters of 'American Outlaws' chilling out in the saloon and patting cats.
