marcicat: (summer foliage)

Seemingly overnight (except overnight three nights ago, from Sunday to Monday, because I didn't get around to posting about it until today), we have made the shift from high summer to late summer here in NH.

I was going to make a list of signs pointing to this shift, but then I realized it's really just 'it feels different and that's how you know.' Probably there are lots of interesting Science Reasons for it feeling different, but I do not know them. (Seriously, I struggle with maps, I definitely cannot do science.)

Anyway, happy late summer!

oh no, I understand completely. Maybe it's the way sunlight shifts, or the humidity change, or whatever, but I know here in florida we have gone from "mid summer" to "dog days of summer" which will last until October, probably. :(
