on my mind this week
Sep. 19th, 2019 05:50 am*Thinking about 'The Martian' -- how likely is it that Earth would have launched three manned Mars missions, but still not have a Moon base? I understand almost nothing about the science of space travel, but I thought having a Moon base was supposed to help with things like the enormous cost and risk of launching rockets full of supplies and people all the time. And the Hermes must have been built in space, right? (Actually, I have no idea. I just think a Moon base would be cool.)
*Thinking about 'Guardian' -- nothing makes a lunchtime walk at work more epic than the Guardian soundtrack. Super great.
*Thinking about NaNoWriMo -- I said I was going to do it this year, didn't I? Huh. That seemed easier when it was farther away.
