pajama thoughts
Oct. 4th, 2019 05:53 amYesterday a coworker caused a minor kerfuffle by telling everyone they would not be able to come to work. The reason: their dryer was broken, and all their clothes were wet from the washing machine. They drove to work in their pajamas and someone ran out with their laptop (because they refused to come in the building in pjs) so they could work from home.
The whole story is ten kinds of off the wall, but I would just like to state for the internet record that I would personally be thrilled to have an excuse to go to work in my pajamas. I almost said that exact thing yesterday, but then I realized it might lead me down the path of admitting that I basically DO go to work in my pajamas (in the sense that I don't really have 'sleep clothes' and 'work clothes,' just 'clothes.') Really it's the jeans that make it a work outfit. Jeans don't make good pajamas.
(Neither do hoodies, to my dismay. Hoods can get weird at night and bunch up and sometimes make my neck hurt. If it's cold enough to wear the hood, it's usually okay though.)
