caturday cat food update

marcicatThe Great Cat Food Caper of 2019 continues on. The wet food seems to be fulfilling its main function, which is 'gets the cat to ingest more liquid.' The packaging is cute (I'm so weak to things that have a cat picture on them), despite being basically the least convenient design ever for something you're going to use for multiple days. (It's a pouch. The idea is that you serve the whole thing at once, but it's kind of a lot? She's a small cat!)
And despite her shelter notes suggesting no wet food (due to eating it very quickly and then throwing up), this has not been an issue. There has been a distinct lack of throwing up all week, actually. (I'm so hesitant to write that, for fear of jinxing it!)
Most importantly, she is actually eating the food, both wet and dry. Not all of it, because why would she do a thing like that? But most of it. Enough to keep me from worrying so much. And she feels more solid when she deigns to allow me to boost her up to the bathroom counter to drink from the sink faucet. I am much relieved! (I would weigh her, but I'm not sure we've reached that level of touching.)
