packing thoughts
Oct. 29th, 2019 05:31 amMe, packing for hiking: 'I mean, probably one pair of pants for the whole trip is fine, as long as I have a different pair of pajama pants I can change into at night. The pajamas are like my backup pants, just in case!'
Me, packing for trips that involve rolling luggage and hotel rooms: 'Is one pair of pants for each day really enough???'
In some ways, packing for a hiking trip is trickier, because you have to *carry* it all, but also easier because no one cares how foolish you look. Leggings under capris with knee socks and flip-flops? Totally fine. Whereas when a hotel is involved, there's a certain expectation that you'll look presentable a large percentage of the time. All the time, even!
This is somewhat counter to my usual presentability strategy, which is, 'don't worry about it.' So for travel, I use the strategy: 'travel with
starandrea.' It's super effective! <3
