it's Star Wars season!

marcicat1. Can I just say, I'm so impressed that someone went to pitch a movie waaaay back in the 1970s, and was like, 'hey, yeah, so this is movie number 4, out of 9.' And not ONLY did they actually get to make the movie, but they got to put 'Episode IV' in the title! That's wild.
2. I saw the manip of the swiss army knife lightsaber before I saw the trailer, and now every time I see the trailer, I laugh. (this one) It's just -- I always feel like there is a second, more comedic version of the movie that could have happened, especially with Star Wars, which seems to alternate between poking fun at itself and taking itself SUPER SERIOUSLY. Many times people ask me if I liked a movie, and I'm just like, 'Well, I really enjoyed the version I made up in my head while I was watching it!'
3. Even though I have my reservations about A) Episode 9; B) Star Wars movies in general; and C) the conceptual Star War universe, there's still something satisfying about finally having all nine movies. 'A New Hope' was released May 25, 1977, and 'The Rise of Skywalker' will come out December 20, 2019. 42 years later! (PS: A set of nine of anything is called an ennead, according to the internet.)
