movie review: Star Wars Rise of Skywalker

I liked it! Way more than I thought I would!

Clearly I don't have a ton of coherent analysis thought up. Or any.

*I liked the deserter stormtroopers.

*I liked the hug. (Okay, all the hugging.)

*Hahaha good thing we didn't have to factor travel time into any of our plans, because that would be a wacky adherence to logic that these movies Just Don't Need.

*On the topic of logic: what?!?

*Love the totally fake promotions they give each other in the Resistance. ("Thank you, by the way.")

Sadly, not really. But multiple droids do get a chance to contribute and make decisions, which was nice.

I haven't seen the movie, but I read the summary on Wikipedia, mostly so I know going in how disappointed I may be, and the entire time I'm reading the summary I'm thinking, "Didn't I read that fanfic?"

Oh my gosh, right? I've spent much more time reading fanfic than watching the movies, and I kept getting confused going into this one. Is Finn really Space Royalty? *Does* the Force work like that? Who knows? Certainly not me!
