oh right, it's still winter
Mar. 23rd, 2020 05:43 amOne of the challenging things about ::waves hand vaguely:: all of this, for me, is that March is already a claustrophobic sort of month. By March, I'm well and truly done with winter, and ready for warmer temps and doing things outside without having to weigh the potential for hypothermia. But nature very rarely cooperates with that, so a few strategic trips for things like 'going to the movies' or 'going shopping' can help bridge the gap between me mentally being done with winter and with winter actually being over.
And now there's all these encouragements to stay away from other people, always with the caveat 'of course you can still go outdoors!' And I'm like, 'Yeah, I'll go outdoors! That will make me feel better!'
Except that even with our unusually mild winter, it's 25F degrees out right now, with 4-7 inches of snow predicted tonight. So the idea of taking in some fresh air out on the balcony is... not that appealing.
(But tomorrow's high temp is predicted at 53F degrees? Yay?)
