the more you know
Apr. 2nd, 2020 05:55 amIn an expected but still disheartening update, today's email from the town included the news that they're requesting a total closure of the local state park. (I'm not entirely sure how they plan to handle this, since, technically, it's closed NOW, for the off-season. But it's a good idea.)
Anyway, the truly fascinating part of the email was this part: "The Town Beaches are closed to all public access." (Note: this was a totally separate section than the state park part, which does indeed have a beach area near a lake.)
WE HAVE TOWN BEACHES?
I have lived in this town for more than five years, and I've never heard of such a thing. We're not on the coast, so these are clearly not ocean beaches. Lake beaches? River beaches? Where are these supposed town beaches? Is there a map? I mean, clearly not the destination of choice at the moment, but I am still so curious!
