morning has indeed arrived
May. 4th, 2020 05:50 amI use my phone as my morning wake-up alarm, and I try to change the song it plays every week or so. (Partly because there are So Many Good Songs to choose from, and partly because the longer I use the same song, the more my brain catches on. After a while, it switches from 'what's that noise? better wake up!' to 'wait, I recognize this -- it's a trap; stay asleep!')
A good morning alarm song has to be *just right* for the first ten seconds -- not too much, not too little. And after a week and a day, I can highly recommend 'Then Came the Morning' by the Lone Bellow. (Note: After reading the lyrics to this song today for the first time ever, I realize I've never listened to the words. I pretty much get 'then came the morning' each time they sing it, and not much else. Which totally works!)
