thanks, brain
May. 12th, 2020 05:38 amMaybe I'm the last one to figure this out, but as I was pondering masks (and the making of) this weekend, I suddenly realized that perhaps I'd been overlooking a simpler on-off mechanism: the cord lock. (I didn't even know that I knew this name! My brain produced it from somewhere in the depths while I was trying to figure out if an internet search for 'doohickey that holds drawstrings' would be at all useful.)
(The around the ear loops are clearly the most convenient, but I am a generally anxious person and also my glasses are already there. It's been a challenge to find the exact right balance between 'sure, this feels comfy enough that I could wear it for more than two minutes' and 'I will not spend the entire time worried it will fall off.')
Anyway, I scrounged a couple off a jacket and they are great! Much easier than tying (and then un-tying) anything behind my head, and WAY more easily adjustable. Gold star.
