workaday Wednesday
Jun. 24th, 2020 05:46 amOh, work. What is there to say, really? One of the projects I'm assigned to has a three year cycle. (Theoretically. In practice, the project only actually started mid-way through 2017, has changed Every Single Year since then, and only got revised to 'three years' THIS year, so who knows?) But in theory, this is year one.
(Note: it is not my project. I am assigned to it to 'assist' the team it actually belongs to. Which has an interesting set of pros and cons, but the key point is: not mine.)
And I was doing a 'status update' email to my boss earlier this week, trying to find a balance between 'I'm really doing the best that I can,' and 'has anyone considered how alarming it is that I'm the one writing these? because I have, and the only reason I'm not Extremely Concerned is because I'm devoting most of my extreme concern to even more alarming things these days, and there's just not enough left over for this project.'
