it's field trip day!

marcicatToday I'm going back to the office to get things from my desk. (Work is calling this "cleaning out our desks," which sounds ominous, so I'm trying not to think about it.) And I'm doing it on work hours, which definitely makes it a field trip. (And supposedly we get THREE bankers boxes! A true prize! I'll believe it when I see it.)
There are A Lot Of Rules about this trip, naturally. I have a scheduled time, and will likely see no one except the hall monitor (okay, the 'safety committee leadership member') who checks me in. But consider this: I'm pretty sure there's chocolate in my desk.
Also of note: singing in the car! Reuniting with my NASA mouse pad! My work mug! (Changes in my routine make me nervous, even when I want them, so I'm trying to pump myself up for this Big Event.)
