I really like lists, so you can imagine that packing for a trip is basically list-a-palooza for me -- so many lists, and me as the happy clam in my hustle and bustle of preparation. The downside to this, of course, is that since I enjoy it, I often start preparing earlier than is really necessary, and then I forget where I packed things.
(Sometimes this leads to me unpacking and re-packing, which almost always makes the packing work better, but almost never helps me remember where things are, since then even if I *do* remember, there's a good chance it's not there anymore.)
But there are always a few final things that just can't be packed until the last minute. This time around, it's:
*phone (a classic)
*hairbrush (I don't really need a hairbrush? my hair is -- very short. but hair brushing is very soothing, and it feels nice, and there's not really a space limit on how much I can bring, so why not?)
*sandals (hahaha I can't believe I'm bringing four pairs of footwear, and yet I am, and I'm sure it seemed very logical when I was making the list. I've learned not to make last-minute decisions to leave things at home, because I make poor choices under pressure, which sure is a thing all on its own, but in the meantime, sandals!)
