this is not an ideal pattern
Aug. 2nd, 2020 08:01 amLast year, after returning from a trip, my laptop unexpectedly stopped working. Yesterday, after returning from a trip, my fitbit unexpectedly stopped working.* (BUT WHY????) This is not a trend I am enjoying.
I mean, on the bright side, the fitbit app on my phone is congratulating me for sleeping for 17 HOURS, starting at 2:30 yesterday afternoon -- presumably when my fitbit suddenly gave up the ghost.
(Note: I did not sleep for 17 hours. Probably I would feel better if I did, though!)
And an additional bright side -- I actually do have a different fitbit I can swap in (two, even! an embarrassment of riches!), which is a relief since I'm in the middle of two separate mileage tracking challenges, and I would have been sad to lose my momentum.
The downside is that it's not like I was wearing the alta all the time because it was my *least* favorite. And things breaking / going wrong makes me upset. But idk, deep breaths, it seems silly to get so worked up about it. (AND YET!)
(*Yes, I tried the restart thing, many times. The screen stopped responding yesterday and I thought it was just because the battery died, but it won't charge. And it's a year and a half old, so it's outside of warranty.)
