nanowrimo day 26

I was Very Concerned about meeting my word goal for Thanksgiving day, because -- yeah. Holidays. Full of the unexpected! (Or the very expected, and yet.)
But -- through a weird combination of writing in multiple files, and also using deceit and bribery (it's cool, it was just on myself), I built up a SECRET STASH of Some Extra Words.
And then last night after I posted my daily progress to the nanowrimo site, BOOM! Added the SECRET STASH into the count for today. Like carbo-loading before a marathon, except not really, because I'm not even sure how that metaphor would work in this instance. (Are the words the carbs? WHO KNOWS.)
I was really hoping to get enough Secret Words to bring today's writing goal down to 600, but it turned out to be more like 900, which is still Very Helpful.
