marcicat*Everything about the look of Martial Soul Hall sure is A Choice. A Choice with the consequence of making me EXTREMELY CONFUSED.
*Okay, so it's super dark in there, apparently everywhere? Even the library! (Except maybe the magic flower guy's room; I haven't gotten back to that episode yet, but raising his plants in poor lighting is perhaps THE LEAST OF HIS CRIMES, so I'm calling that a problem for another day.)
*Are there classrooms? There are students, right? Are the classrooms dark? That seems like a terrible learning environment.
*The receiving hall is... in a cave? Underground? Is there a moat? It's very hard to tell if the lack of clarity is due to my viewing device, or a low CGI budget, or a deliberate artistic decision.
*WHY IS THERE NO AUDIENCE FOR THE FINAL MATCHES? Is that a CGI thing? Did they run out of money to superimpose fake people over the fake background? Am I supposed to be pretending there are people there? It's extremely creepy that no one is there.
*Seriously, you've got those narrow lil' roads out in the city that all the students were complaining about, and then these enormous empty caverns? I SEE YOU, SYMBOLISM. I MISS XI SI CITY AND THE LLAMACORNS TOO.
