marcicatWoke up this morning to the sun coming up outside the window! (Okay, *technically* I woke up a bunch of times, because I can be a restless sleeper, and also the train sounds louder at 4:40 am, but I *officially* woke up when I saw the sunrise! Yay!)
The news:
*MOVING HAS OCCURRED! ::confetti::
*Not all the moving. But a lot! Enough to live here, and that's awesome.
*Right now it feels a lot like we're camping out in the house, which is a weird and fascinating experience. I assume because I associate immense physical exertion with hiking/camping? Also most of our stuff is in boxes, so we're working with a minimum amount of essentials.
*My fingers never get this tired hiking! Turns out moving requires a lot of gripping things very tightly!
*Biggest success: the cat has arrived and had a peaceful night; right now she's sleeping calmly in a chair. She's in a Cat Zone of just one bedroom and the bathroom at this point, while she gets comfortable. Last night she was definitely wary hearing the dog outside in the hallway, but I have high hopes they will get along and become good friends. ::crosses fingers::
