marcicatMy brain in the first half of yesterday: Awww yeah, let's do things! Stuff! Making things happen! Everything is awesome!
My brain in the second half of yesterday: Things are awful. Let's spend hours paralyzed by indecision.
Me, today: Um, brain? Do you maybe want to talk about, uh, all that, yesterday stuff? Everything okay in there?
My brain: NO.
Me: No, you don't want to talk about it? Or no, everything's not okay?
My brain: Your options this morning are 1) ignoring everything; or 2) despair. Pick ONE.
Me: This is exhausting.
My brain: You're the one who decided to exist in a place with WEATHER.
(*High summer is a nebulous time that tends to make me feel like I'm in limbo. Much different than early summer or late summer. It usually hits around the start of August, not July, but whatever, this year is already so weird anyway, right?)
