I was going to call this three things that made me smile today, but two of them were really more ‘I’m smiling because it’s better than groaning,’ and that didn’t fit in the title box.

1. Oh, coworkers. So I have this one coworker, and our communication with each is so frequently ineffective that it’s become almost a joke around the workplace. Here is today’s example.

Me: “Thank you.”
Coworker: “Yup.”

Is that a thing that people normally say in response to “thank you”? This wasn’t like a one-time thing; it was *three times* today. (I’m somewhat ashamed to say I just stopped saying thank you after that.)

ANYWAY. On to more fun things than that.

2. There was a kid in the store this afternoon (young enough to still get toted around by mom, but old enough to walk). Hand to god, he could make *exactly* the same noise as a rubber chicken. That loud, wailing sound? Yeah, he had it down cold. Must be all the practice.

3. Bumper sticker I saw today:

“God Recycles. He made you out of dust.”
