nanowrimo halfway day

marcicatHalfway through the month! Halfway through the word count! The story has no plot to speak of, so sure, maybe halfway through that too!
On a more serious note, two weeks into the month is usually when I start feeling my motivation disappear, as literally anything begins to sound more enjoyable than writing another hundred words. Yesterday I looked forward to cleaning the kitchen sink. I'm excited about sweeping leaves off the porch today.
I have no words of wisdom for this problem, but sometimes it's nice just to acknowledge it's not all exclamation points and exciting word sprint successes. I find nanowrimo fun, but it's not easy.
