day 8: ran out of yarn

*Big thanks to
starandrea for the craft supply assist! I was able to work on Day 7's craft yesterday (haha yes, I've gotten the days all mixed up now; there's no going back!) with the last-minute addition of a toilet paper roll.
*And then I ran out of yarn! I'm pretty sure I followed the instructions correctly, but I admit I was not being careful to conserve yarn. It worked out fine; I took some yarn from a later project -- a solution that will itself be a problem around Day 19, but that's for future!me to deal with.
*Today's craft is an "elf boot," which is (as far as I can tell) just an interestingly-shaped stocking. For some reason, we're gluing this one instead of sewing it like the fish. I'm also a little confused as to why we're supposed to stuff the stocking with fluff and close it at the top? I have a mandatory work training today on "writing effective emails" (it's company-wide, which means we probably won't have to have our cameras on, yay!), so I may try to work on the craft during that.
*It just seems like if you left the top of the stocking open, you could put things in it! Like the bear! And the candy cane! (That project comes later.)
*Now I'm just deliberately procrastinating because I was planning to go for a walk outside this morning, but it's very cold out, so I'm reconsidering.
