finished watching ‘The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’

Yay for days off when I can watch tv! Also, the whole series was a lot of fun, despite the whole cliffhanger ending. It was sort of a comics-type cliffhanger? Comics for me are like soap operas; you just have to take your victories and your happy endings where you can, even if it means ignoring things like “facts” and “plots” sometimes.

A Brief List Of Things I Liked About The Series

1. That New York’s money has the stylized Green Lantern symbol on it.

2. That Hank, despite his stated pacifist stance, has some serious anger issues.

3. That Steve and Tony eat breakfast together (okay, so Tony was checking the online news feeds, and Steve was doing one-arm pushups while he read the paper, but it was breakfast-y themed).

4. That they managed to get in a ‘Tony builds something’ montage. (If they squeeze one into the Avengers movie too, I will be laughing in the theater.)

5. Jan.

6. That Hawkeye not only *did* appear un-costumed at one point (sunbathing, no less!), but also got called on his sartorial choices by Jane Foster (paramedic in this universe). (“Take off your shirt. Or whatever that is.”)

7. Wakanda. Way to fight off those future!ships!

8. “Leaders lead.” Aka, Steve pestering Tony just because its fun.

9. Steve’s mid-battle pep talks. (Also, that they always work!)

10. The Hulk. Thor. Clint being friends with *everyone.* Natasha running off to look for Nick Fury. The fact that the Helicarrier is apparently the least safe base ever.

11. Oh, and how could I forget? That Tony thinks the Fantastic Four are irresponsible absentee superheroes. (“They knocked at the Baxter Building, but no one was home.” “Big surprise there.”)
