marcicat*it sure is Monday, and day 14 of nanowrimo, with a goal of 23,333(?) -- idk usually I just go by the hundreds (so the three-day cycle goes 700, 300, even 1000), and hope the little numbers are sorting themselves out on their own
*me, to the characters this morning: 'ahaha now you've fallen into the trap and the ship is broken! how will you get anywhere now!'
*me, realizing my writing has stalled because the ship is broken and I don't know how they'll get anywhere now: 'nooooo, I've set up an uncomfortably apt metaphor!'
*me, who usually skips over every flashback scene in fics: 'I know, I'll write a flashback scene!'
*me, deciding I'll just make up the details and not check my notes about the timeline: 'this surely won't be a decision I'll regret later!'
