marcicat*I have no idea what's going on at work. Interim!boss seems to have decided that the group I'm part of is the least likely to create an immediate crisis (unclear if this is a correct assumption) and has essentially said 'if it's not on fire, I don't have time to deal with it.'
*Based on my understanding of interim!boss' job, this is largely true. (The fire is metaphorical. Hopefully.)
*It's also a strategy that worked relatively well (acceptably well? not disastrously?) in December, when most of us were focused on wrapping up already-established projects, or at least could use the excuse of the holidays to put things on hold for a while.
*I don't think it's going to continue working forever, and at this point I'm not entirely sure what the plan is even if interim!boss hires someone to replace our old boss. Who will train them? Certainly not interim!boss.
*The key here is making sure I don't get passed any boss-like responsibilities. Now I just need to find a way to word that so I can use it for the next round of "workplace goal-setting."
