marcicatYesterday I was doing a video call with a coworker, and I had my camera on, and they were all 'are you wearing TWO fleece jackets right now? are you cold???'
And it wasn't intended in a mean way or anything, just the automatic workplace 'calling out anything that looks different,' but it instantly reminded me why I've preferred working at home. (YES, I'm wearing two fleece jackets. NO, I'm not cold, BECAUSE I'm wearing two fleece jackets.) Being perceived is exhausting, I'd prefer to avoid it, thanks.
