Monday again

The cat has been sleeping all morning; I think she has the right idea. It's not *exactly* raining outside, but it's not *not* raining, either.
At work, my boss keeps asking if projects are "on track," and I'm not sure how best to answer, because as always, they'll all on track until they aren't. In the same way that things aren't a crisis until they are, and certain projects are a top priority until they aren't.
(After several years of focusing on 'eliminating silos' and 'improving inter-team communication,' the company is now riding the pendulum swing back the other way, and insisting that if each team just 'does their own part' then projects will come together without the need for anything like a project manager or even a regular status meeting. Now we're just asked if things are on track, but since there is seemingly no one in charge of the overall timeline, it's unclear what we're tracking towards. At this point I'm just saying yes.)
