aw yeah, Star Trek's back!

marcicatWe watched the first ep of Strange New Worlds (season 2!) last night, and I liked it, so here are some miscellaneous reactions in no particular order:
*yay star trek is back!!!!!!
*I think their budget for effects is a LOT higher this season
*aka very impressive; noting myself down as impressed
*heyo another woman character, heck yeah!
*do they all just have these clothes lying around??? THEY MATCH IT'S CUTE I LIKE IT
And THEN we went down the absolute rabbit warren of trying to figure out why the Enterprise "missed the war," which was a heck of a thing. (Short version: the Enterprise was "some distance away" and "wasn't called back") Poor Spock had a ROUGH year in 2257 (after the war was over, even!). I think he should get to have a little breakdown whenever he wants. As a treat.
