AHHHH (aka workaday Wednesday)

*Having it be the third day of the week and the second day of the month is creating a wacky sense of cognitive dissonance for me. (To be fair, I am easily confused.)
*An actual exchange that happened in a work meeting yesterday:
Me: 'You said that this decision isn't in your hands, but whose hands is it in?'
Most senior person in the meeting: 'That's a great question.'
(This "great question" was NEVER answered, btw, surprising absolutely no one.)
*I got so tired of writing out explanations to answer questions that 1) the person should have known already; 2) could have found out on their own; and 3) they weren't going to read anyway. At one point I answered a question with: "Various reasons. Would be happy to discuss background at length if you are interested."
(Note: They were not interested)
BONUS: Winning the prize for least useful communication of the week (so far!), a chat message exchange:
Person I don't know (but is an employee MANY levels above me): "Are you there?"
Me, 30 minutes later: "Hi, yes."
Person I don't know, 2.5 hours after that: "Thanks, someone else answered my question."
WHAT IS HAPPENING AT WORK I HAVE LESS AND LESS OF AN ANSWER EVERY DAY
