nine till nano

marcicatNine days left in October means nine days till NaNoWriMo! (AHHHHH!!!) Things I would still like to accomplish before the writing adventure begins:
*a title? (usually a string of semi-related words will just sort of spring into my head at some point during the planning or writing process, often while I'm in a bathroom, and I'll think 'sure, that sounds like a title to me!' so far that has not happened with this story)
*I mean, I *feel* like it would help to have an understanding of how space works, but then I also feel like probably MOST people who have written my favorite stories set in space were not focusing too much on the scientific realities of the whole thing, so maybe I'm fine?
*can't believe I still don't have a treat calendar planned!?! (though to be fair, the basic 'write words get treats' formula is tried and true, AND nanowrimo does just HAPPEN to start directly after the candy holiday)
